BACKGROUND

Timothy Weber, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in his 32nd year of practice.  He received his doctorate from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California in 1981 (APA Approved Clinical Program).  After a postdoctoral internship in marriage and family therapy at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in New York (1980-1981), Dr. Weber was awarded the Wilson Family Therapy Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical School (1981-1983) working in both Psychiatry and Family Medicine.  Dr. Weber practiced in Colorado Springs from 1983-1990 and moved to Seattle in 1990.  He is a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State, Colorado, and New York and is an Approved Supervisor with The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

Dr. Weber is Senior Faculty and Director of the Counseling Program (Master's Degree) at The Leadership Institute of Seattle, affiliated with Saybrook University in San Francisco.  He also teaches and trains psychotherapists and provides coaching and leadership training for business professionals and organizations.  Dr. Weber also specializes in working with the family of origin, has coauthored a major book on family of origin therapy, a primary book chapter on his family of origin work, and conducts two workshops each year on the theory and practice of family of origin therapy.

Dr. Weber has co-authored two books on the practice of psychotherapy and consulting:  Systems Consultation:  A New Perspective for Family Therapy (1986 with Wynne and McDaniel) and Coming Home Again:  A Family of Origin Consultation (2003, with Framo and Levine).  A new book chapter will be published in 2009 on "Intensive Family of Origin Consultations" (with Cebula).  Recently he published "Interrupting Sudden Death" (2006) in Family, Systems, and Health.  He also has written two chapters in two books, Integrating Family Therapy (1996) and Casebook for Integrating Family Therapy:  An Ecosystemic Approach (2001).  He also has published numerous articles in professional journals on human health, the training of psychotherapists, and the process of consulting and therapy.

Currerntly , Dr. Weber is working on several projects central to his work as a psychotherapist:  a model for understanding couple life and marriage, family of origin therapy, the process of developing human integrity, and ideas for living long and living well.
